Whitby, Ontario – Beginning September 7, 2021, Durham Region Transit (DRT) will be introducing service changes, including overnight service, and a new regional route to the new Amazon Fulfillment Centre in Ajax. Highlights include:

  • Blue Night Network:
    • New overnight service throughout the urban area, connecting with the Toronto Transit Commission Blue Night Network in Scarborough.
      • Route N1: Operates between Centennial Circle and Harmony Terminal, via Highway 2, Simcoe and Taunton, throughout the late-night.
      • Route N2: Operates between North Campus Terminal and Simcoe and Wentworth along Simcoe Street, between 24:00 and 02:30.
      • On Demand available throughout the urban area with connections to Route N1.
  • Route 920: New regional route between the McCowan Station (Scarborough) and Simcoe/Conlin, serving major destinations such as Centennial College Progress Campus, Ontario Tech University, Durham College, and the Amazon Fullfillment Centre in Ajax.
  • Route 392: New route will serve the Dundas corridor, west Whitby and Whitby Shores, providing access to Lakeridge Health Whitby, Durham Region Headquarters, Oshawa Centre, Ontario Shores and the Abilities Centre.
  • Route 411: New route serving south Courtice and south Oshawa industrial.
