The following fare rates are effective July 1, 2026. This fare increase is part of DRT's 10-year strategy to invest in service enhancements, transition to a battery electric fleet, and offer new facilities and amenities.

The Transit Assistance Program (TAP) helps make transit more affordable for people receiving social assistance in Durham Region. With TAP, you can choose how you pay:

Once purchased, the TAP is valid for six-month periods with a PRESTO card that allows you to:
If you receive ODSP or Ontario Works (OW), ask your caseworker about a PRESTO card with TAP already added. Who can apply All family members listed on an Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or Ontario Works (OW) statement can qualify. You can also add TAP to an existing PRESTO card by visiting a DRT location and showing your statement. You can also add TAP to your current PRESTO card.
