Tentative agreement reached with Durham Region Transit and Unifor

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) has reached a tentative agreement with Unifor Local 222, which represents operators, maintenance staff, customer service representatives and others. This tentative agreement is subject to a ratification vote by the Unifor Local 222 members.

New afternoon trip added to Route 227 – Starting June 2

Durham Region Transit (DRT) is making it easier for many Ajax High School students to get home after school.

Starting Monday, June 2, DRT is adding a new afternoon trip to Route 227 to better match school dismissal times.

• Departs Ajax GO at 15:36 (3:36 p.m.).
• Passes Ajax High School around 15:40 – 15:45 (3:40–3:45 p.m.), depending on traffic.
• Operates in the clockwise direction.
