Durham Region Transit to resume On Demand service on Tuesday, October 21 after temporary outage

Whitby, Ontario – The technical issue affecting Durham Region Transit’s (DRT) On Demand booking app has been resolved. Starting October 21, all scheduled DRT On Demand trips will resume as previously scheduled. Scheduled bus service continues to operate as normal.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is experiencing technical difficulties with its On Demand Transit app. These issues are related to a broader issue through the vendor’s cloud infrastructure provider, impacting the app’s functionality.

Scheduled bus service is not affected by this outage and operating as normal.

When: October 20, 2025, until further notice.

 Route 101 trips on both loops will detour via Montgomery Park Road, Gate 1D Access Road, Brock Road, Bayly Street, Sandy Beach Road and Alyssum Street

Due to road work at the intersection of Conlin Road and Grandview Street, PULSE 915, PULSE 916, and Routes 419 and N1 will detour.

  • PULSE 915: Service will detour via Greenhill Avenue, Harmony Road, Conlin Road, Riverton Street, and Black Cherry Drive.
