Double the fun: DRT’s 2-for-1 Summer Youth Pass is back

Whitby, Ontario The savings continue for Youth with the Durham Region Transit (DRT) 2-for-1 Summer Youth Pass. For $107.42, youth ages 13 to 19 can ride all summer long; two monthly passes for the price of one.

Purchase the July youth pass before July 15, 2025, and the August pass will automatically renew on the customer’s PRESTO card prior to the beginning of August.

Tentative agreement reached with Durham Region Transit and Unifor

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) has reached a tentative agreement with Unifor Local 222, which represents operators, maintenance staff, customer service representatives and others. This tentative agreement is subject to a ratification vote by the Unifor Local 222 members.

Transit operators in legal strike position effective June 7

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) will end scheduled bus service by 11 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, due to the potential of a strike by Unifor Local 222 as early as 12:01 a.m. (midnight) on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
