Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is pleased to announce its annual Public Information Centres (PICs) for 2024. DRT’s service design team will be available virtually or onsite to answer questions and provide information on DRT’s network, planning process and the future of public transit service in Durham Region.  Attendees are welcome to ask questions, share their thoughts and provide insight into the customer experience.

Transfer for free between DRT and the TTC

Ontario’s One Fare Program provides transit riders with free transfers when using PRESTO to connect to and from transit agencies within the GTA.

By eliminating the double fare, the program provides DRT customers transferring to and from the TTC on Routes 900 and 920 or On Demand Specialized Transit with a seamless and affordable transit experience.

DRT has an established fare integration program with Go Transit.

Transit riders using multiple transit agencies will transfer at no extra charge

TORONTO — The Ontario government is keeping costs down for public transit riders with the launch of “One Fare,” which will save riders an average of $1,600 each year. Durham Region Transit (DRT) will be joining Metrolinx at the Canadian Automotive Museum for Family Day on Monday, February 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
