Ride into the wild with DRT to the Toronto Zoo

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is bringing back the 917Z to serve the Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park this summer.

Route 917Z is a convenient, safe, and efficient way for Durham residents to travel to two family friendly attractions. This year is special for the Toronto Zoo and the Durham Region as both celebrate their respective 50th anniversaries.

When: Starting on June 29, 2024, the 917Z will operate on weekends and holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., every 30 minutes, until September 2, 2024.

Where: Route 917Z will serve the Oshawa Centre Terminal, Whitby Station, Ajax Station, and Pickering Parkway Terminal before ending at the Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park.

Why: To connect Durham residents to the Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park.
