Region of Durham and DRT accepting applications from Oshawa, Scugog and Uxbridge representatives for the Transit Advisory Committee

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham and Durham Region Transit (DRT) are currently accepting applications from residents in Oshawa, Scugog and Uxbridge for the Transit Advisory Committee (TAC).

The TAC is comprised of 17 members in total (16 voting and one non-voting) with representation from each area municipality. Details about membership, composition and eligibility criteria are outlined in the Terms of Reference.

When: Completed applications should be submitted to the Regional Clerk.

Where: Application forms can be obtained from the Region of Durham website (durham.ca), or by contacting the Legislative Services Division at 905-668-7711 or by email at appointments@durham.ca.  

Interested candidates must submit an application by email to appointments@durham.ca or to the address below:

Why: The TAC is a volunteer advisory committee reporting to the Transit Executive Committee, providing input on:

  1. Policies and procedures with respect to the operation of conventional and demand response transit services in Durham Region;
  2. The extent of service hours and days of operation; and
  3. Operational rules and regulations relating to DRT services.
