Whitby, Ontario – This June, Durham Region Transit (DRT) services will be updated to include our seasonal service extension to the Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park, and to the Ajax Waterfront. Other changes include extending PULSE 901 and route N2 north to Winfield Farms, and reinstating service every 10 minutes on PULSE 901 on weekdays.

When: Service updates will begin on Monday, June 20, 2022.

Where: Routes are being adjusted across Durham Region as follows:

917Z

  • Seasonal service to the Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park will resume.
  • Trips to the Zoo will be signed as “917Z” and will operate every 30 minutes between 08:30 and 20:00 on weekends and holidays.

PULSE 901

  • Route extended north to Simcoe Street and Windfields Farm Drive.

110, 112, 216, 224, PULSE 900, 915, 916, 920, N1

  • Schedule times have been updated.

  • New trips from Farewell and Raleigh to Oshawa Centre Terminal, beginning one hour earlier.

N2

  • Route extended north to Simcoe Street and Windfields Farm Drive.


Why:
To provide greater mobility across Durham Region. Updates include improving access to recreation and local attractions, such as the Ajax Waterfront, Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park.
