  • Daylight Saving Time - November 3
    On Sunday, November 3, service on, N1 and N2, will end one hour earlier due to daylight saving time. Customers are encouraged to use the trip planner on DRT's homepage or call customer service at 1-(866)-247-0055 to help plan your trip.
  • Durham Region Transit welcomes its six first electric buses

    Whitby, ON – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is delighted to announce the arrival of six new electric buses, and the first key milestone in delivering the E-Mission Zero program. This initiative is part of DRT’s commitment to achieving zero greenhouse gas emissions through a sustainable network of vehicles, infrastructure, and facilities by 2037.

    • September service enhancements: Effective September 3, 2024, DRT introduced new routes, enhanced scheduled service to some areas previously served by On Demand, improved connections to GO Transit, and invested in improving reliability.

    Whitby, Ontario – On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, Durham Region Transit (DRT) will implement service enhancements to reflect the return to school and work following summer vacation, introduce scheduled service to some areas previously served by On Demand, and improve connections to GO Transit.

    When: Changes to DRT service will take place on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

  • Youth 10 (Y10) monthly pass starts on September 1, 2024

    Whitby, Ontario Durham Region Transit (DRT) is once again offering the discounted Y10 monthly youth pass via PRESTO. Customers who are 13 to 19 years of age can purchase the Y10 monthly pass for $84.

    Whitby, Ontario Durham Region Transit (DRT) is bringing back the 917Z to serve the Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park this summer.

    Route 917Z is a convenient, safe, and efficient way for Durham residents to travel to two family friendly attractions.

    Whitby, Ontario Durham Region Transit (DRT) is again offering the 2-for-1 Summer Youth Pass via PRESTO. Customers who are 13 to 19 years of age can purchase the 2-for-1 Summer Youth Pass for $103.
