  • Toronto Zoo welcomes new Durham Region Transit bus route

    Your Toronto Zoo is excited to welcome buses and passengers travelling on the new Durham Region Transit (DRT) bus route, providing service directly to the Zoo until September 6, 2021. DRT implemented a series of service enhancements to support access to public transit as the province continues to re-open; and residents begin to return to work, shopping and more.

  • Durham Region Transit to give away a $500 PRESTO card to celebrate 100,000 On Demand trips

    Whitby, Ontario – To celebrate Durham Region Transit’s (DRT) appreciation for customers using On Demand service, the 100,000th rider will be gifted a pre-loaded $500 PRESTO fare card that can be used on all DRT services within Durham Region.

    Flexible in meeting the individual needs of customers, On Demand is a shared ride public transit service within urban and rural areas, across Durham Region.

    • Paper transfers: To mitigate the risks of COVID-19 transmission and protect the health and safety of employees and customers, paper transfers were suspended at the onset of COVID-19.
