Whitby, Ontario – On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, members of the Durham Region Transit (DRT) Executive Committee (TEC) met to discuss various DRT initiatives and updates. Details and highlights include:
DRT 2026 Fare Strategy approved:
TEC approved the 2026 DRT Fare Strategy, which supports further modernizing the fare payment and management system.
Detour - Intersection of Union Avenue and Josephine Street in Port PerryWhen: April 13, 2026 at 07:00 to April 21 at 19:00
Routes: 905C
Due to a road closure at the intersection of Union Avenue and Josephine Street in Port Perry, Route 905C will operate via Victoria Street and Old Simcoe Road.
The following stops will be closed during construction:
- All stops on Union Avenue between Victoria Street and King Street.

Route: Pulse 915, 419, N1
Due to road work at the intersection of Conlin Road and Grandview Street, PULSE 915 and Routes 419 and N1 will detour.
PULSE 915: Service will detour both ways via Woodstream Ave, Grandview Street, Greenhill Avenue, Wilson Road, and Conlin Road.
