Starting Monday, June 23, 2025, Durham Region Transit (DRT) is rolling out service changes to help you get where you want to go—faster, easier, and with more options.

Whether you’re heading to work, the waterfront, or your favourite local spot, we’ve got you covered with:

  • Waterfront service extensions
    We’re extending seasonal service to popular waterfront destinations across Durham, making it easier than ever to soak up the sun and enjoy lakeside adventures.
  • More frequent service to more places
    We’re increasing frequency along the Highway 2 corridor to keep you connected and moving.
  • Ride to the Toronto Zoo
    DRT is your ticket to adventure! Our seasonal route to the Toronto Zoo is back, making it easy and affordable to visit one of Canada’s top attractions—no parking stress required.

We'll be seeing you more often in Bowmanville

More frequent service is coming to Bowmanville.

 Route 902 

Monday to Friday

  • 902B trips will be removed, and all weekday trips will operate between Oshawa Station and Bowmanville. 
    • The George Reynolds area will continue to be served by Route 421.
    • 902B trips will continue to operate on weekends. 
  • Service between Oshawa Station and Bowmanville will operate every 20 minutes between about 7:00 to 19:00. With service every 30 minutes at other times.

 Route 100
 

Saturday and Sunday

  • Seasonal service to the Pickering Waterfront returns on weekends and holidays.
  • Service will operate between Pickering Parkway Terminal and the Pickering Waterfront via Liverpool Road.
  • Between about 12:00 to 21:00, every 20 minutes.

Monday to Sunday

  • Seasonal service to the Ajax Waterfront returns.
  • Service to the Ajax Waterfront will operate between about 10:00 to 21:00 on weekends and 18:00 to 21:00 on weekdays.
  • Trips via the Ajax Waterfront will be marked 224C.

Monday to Sunday

  • Just a reminder that Pulse 901 service will take you to Ed Broadbent Park, Lakeview Park, the Waterfront Trail, and the Oshawa Valleylands Conservation Area.  
 Route 917
Saturday and Sunday
  • Just a reminder that weekend and holiday service to the Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park returned on May 5, 2025. 
  • Service to the Toronto Zoo operates between about 7:00 and 19:00, every 30 minutes. 
  • Trips to the zoo are marked 917Z.

  • Bayly Street at Westney Road, Ajax.
  • Victoria Street at Seaboard Gate, Whitby.

  • Due to reduced student travel during the summer period, service south of Windfields Farm Drive will operate every 30 minutes instead of every 15 minutes.
