Back to SearchWhitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is once again offering the discounted Y10 monthly youth pass via PRESTO. Customers who are 13 to 19 years of age can purchase the Y10 monthly pass for $84.24 per month.
Customers who purchase a pass every month from September until June will save $19.44 on each consecutive Y10 monthly pass, for a total of $194.40 in savings.
When: Y10 passes are available for purchase starting on August 21, 2024. The September Y10 monthly pass becomes active on September 1, 2024, and subsequent passes need to be purchased each month to provide unlimited travel through June 30, 2025. Customers must enrol in the Y10 program and purchase their Y10 pass by September 15, 2024.
Where: Passes are available for purchase at the following locations by presenting proof of age, which includes your birth date:
- DRT Customer Service, 110 Westney Road South, Ajax
- The Shops at Pickering City Centre (formerly Pickering Town Centre) – Guest Services, 1355 Kingston Road, Pickering
- Region of Durham Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East, Whitby
- Oshawa Centre – Guest Services, 419 King Street West, Oshawa
- Township of Scugog – 181 Perry Street, Port Perry
DRT is implementing a new online enrolment system to provide better customer service to its ridership. All Y10 customers must complete the Y10 enrolment form in order to continue receiving Y10 savings each month.
Why: DRT is supporting youth travel during the school year with a discounted monthly rate. With the Y10 pass, customers 13 to 19 years of age have access to unlimited travel from September 1, 2024, until June 30, 2025, under the condition that customers purchase consecutive monthly passes over the 10 month period.
Note: The Y10 monthly pass is not available through the PRESTO e-ticket app.
