New afternoon trip added to Route 227 – Starting June 2

Durham Region Transit (DRT) is making it easier for many Ajax High School students to get home after school.

Starting Monday, June 2, DRT is adding a new afternoon trip to Route 227 to better match school dismissal times.

• Departs Ajax GO at 15:36 (3:36 p.m.).
• Passes Ajax High School around 15:40 – 15:45 (3:40–3:45 p.m.), depending on traffic.
• Operates in the clockwise direction.

This schedule update provides a more convenient option for students and supports growing demand during peak school travel times. The trip will be added for the month of June and will return in September as part of Route 227’s regular schedule.
