Whitby, Ontario – On Monday, June 29, 2026, Durham Region Transit (DRT) will implement service updates to improve connections on select routes and adjust for seasonal demand.

When: Service updates will begin on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Where: The transit network is being adjusted across Durham Region. All service changes can be found at DurhamRegionTransit.com/ServiceUpdates.

Why: As the season changes, some routes and times may change too. More trips to popular spots (area attractions), later service times, and new routes in growing areas.

As a reminder, residents can take the following routes to their favourite waterfronts and attractions:

  • Route 100: service to Pickering waterfront
  • Route 224: service to Ajax waterfront
  • Route 917: service to the Toronto Zoo, Rouge National Urban Park, and Lynde Shores
