March 7, 2022 service updates

Whitby, Ontario – This March, Durham Region Transit (DRT) service will be modified to increase frequency, adjust routings and restore trips that were temporarily reduced.

When: Service updates will begin on Monday, March 7, 2022.

Where: Routes are being adjusted across Durham Region as follows:

Affected route	Change(s)
Route 101 / 101A Bay Ridges	To reduce traffic congestion at the Pickering Parkway Terminal, buses will pause at Pickering Station before resuming service Trips will service stop B13, west of the pedestrian bridge at Pickering Parkway Terminal
Route 103 Glenanna	A new weekday eastbound trip will depart Pine Grove Avenue / Altona Road at 05:23
Route 291 Harwood-Kingston	Routing modified to operate to and from Pickering Station via Glenanna Road, Kingston Road, Liverpool Road and Bayly Street Routing in east Pickering modified via Notion Road. Service removed on Bainbridge Drive and Marshcourt Drive.
Route 411 South Courtice	Saturday service between South Courtice and Oshawa Centre Terminal restored
Route 902 King	Saturday service between Oshawa Centre and Highway 2 / Trulls Road restored
Route 915 Taunton	First phase of improvements to frequency to launch PULSE Rapid Bus service on the 915 Taunton Increased weekday service: Will operate every 15 minutes between 19:00 and 22:00 Saturday: 15-minute service restored Increased Sunday service: Will operate every 15 minutes between 10:00 and 18:00
Route 917 Bayly-Consumers	To reduce traffic congestion at the Pickering Parkway Terminal, the western terminus will move to Glenanna Road and The Esplanade Eastbound trips will service stop B13 at Pickering Parkway Terminal

Why: Schedule and route changes will be made to adjust to ridership trends.
