Whitby, Ontario – On Wednesday, May 7, members of the Durham Region Transit Executive Committee (TEC) met to discuss various Durham Region Transit (DRT) initiatives and updates. Details and highlights include:
- DRT joins global effort to empower customers with hidden disabilities, one sunflower at a time: DRT officially launched the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program. The initiative supports customers with non-visible disabilities by offering Sunflower branded pins that discreetly indicate the need for additional assistance. Customers are encouraged to order their free Sunflower pin or lanyard at DurhamRegionTransit.com/SunflowerProgram/ or by calling DRT customer service at 1-(866)-247-0055.
