Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Transit (DRT) is experiencing technical difficulties with its On Demand Transit app. These issues are related to a broader issue through the vendor’s cloud infrastructure provider, impacting the app’s functionality.
Scheduled bus service is not affected by this outage and operating as normal.
When: October 20, 2025, until further notice.
Where: Customers and staff are experiencing issues with DRT’s On Demand Transit app.
Why: This service outage impacts both DRT On Demand customers, as well as staff. Previously scheduled or planned trips for today are suspended until the issue is resolved.
DRT On Demand customers are encouraged to contact a DRT booking agent by calling 311 (within Regional limits) or 1-866-247-0055.
