One Fare Anywhere in Durham Region . . . including GO Bus with a DRT ticket, pass or transferThe Durham Region Transit (DRT) agreement with GO Transit integrates GO Bus services as part of the DRT system making travel within Durham Region simple, more convenient and affordable.
Pre-paid DRT fares - ticket, multi-ride, monthly passes or DRT transfers for adults, students (including U-Pass), seniors and children are accepted on the following GO Bus routes:
GO Bus and DRT Transfers
The DRT Bus Operator will issue a transfer for GO Bus. A GO Bus transfer ticket stamped DRT provides a record of the trip as a GO Bus passenger. Customers are required to keep the GO ticket on their person as evidence of the paid fare. The transfer ticket is also accepted as a transfer on all DRT buses providing it meets DRT’s transfer policy to ensure a continuous trip with no stop-overs. Passengers with GO Bus tickets, paying regular GO Bus fares, are not valid for transfer to DRT buses.
DRT Transfer Conditions
Transfer is valid only at transfer points between routes ridden in succession as part of one continuous trip from origin to destination (without return) within times show after issue.
Not to be used for stop-over for the purpose of shopping etc.
Transfers are issued on request, at the time the fare is paid and are valid only when punched by the issuing operator. Not transferable.
Upon request, operator will advise of established transfer points.
DRT Co-Fare Program
Customers can also take advantage of the DRT Co-Fare program to transfer to/from DRT Bus to GO Train or GO Bus at Lakeshore GO Train Stations only at a reduced fare ($0.65cents each way).
