One Durham Region Fare. . . including GO Bus with a DRT ticket, pass or transfer
The DRT agreement with GO Transit integrates some GO Bus services as part of the DRT system making travel within Durham Region simple, convenient and affordable. A DRT ticket, pass or transfer is valid on GO Bus 71, 81, 88 (within Durham Region), 90/91 (between Newcastle and downtown Oshawa). Other GO Bus routes will operate in Durham Region at the GO Bus fare by distance rate.
Proof of a valid DRT fare (pre-paid DRT ticket, pass or transfer) must be presented when boarding the GO Bus, otherwise regular GO Bus fare-by-distance rates will apply.
Cash fares are not accepted on GO Bus at DRT fare rates
Regular GO Bus fare-by-distance rates apply for travel outside of Durham Region
The PRESTO Card is not eligible for 'One Durham Region Fare', regular GO Bus rates will apply.
'One Fare' passengers are required to use DRT paper tickets and passes for travel on GO Bus within Durham Region.
GO Bus Transfers and DRT Transfers
The DRT Bus Operator will issue a transfer for GO Bus. The GO Bus Operator will issue a transfer to DRT Bus. All transfers are issued on request when boarding. Passengers with GO Bus tickets, paying regular GO Bus fares, are not valid for transfer to DRT Bus.
